Giovani Lo Celso and Cristian Romero, like Villa’s Martinez and Buendia, were forced to leave Brazil by health authorities. Both will need to isolate after their visit to a red-list country. Their return date is dependent on whether they play in a third qualifier, or fly to Croatia to speed their return to the UK.
Davinson Sanchez visited red-list countries while playing in qualifiers for Colombia. He will need to isolate but it’s still unclear whether he intends to play in Colombia’s final qualifier or fly to Croatia to. All three of Tottenham’s quarantine-affected players will miss at least Saturday’s game against Crystal Palace and Thursday’s Europa Conference League match against Rennes.
Steven Bergwijn is being assessed after being forced off with a left ankle issue during Holland’s’s 6-1 win over Turkey.
Son Heung-Min suffered a right calf strain while training on 6th September and therefore missed South Korea’s game against Lebanon.
Oliver Skipp is being assessed after injuring his groin in England U21’s 2-0 win over Kosovo.
Ryan Sessegnon also suffered a knock while playing for England U21and has been ruled out of the Crystal Palace fixture.
