Celtic visits Midtjylland in the second leg of the 2021 UEFA Champions League qualifying round on Wednesday afternoon. The two teams played to a 1-1 draw last week at Celtic’s home grounds and now the round shifts to MCH Arena. The first leg finished with 10 men on the field for both sides, as Celtic’s Nir Britton was shown a red card while Midtjylland’s Anders Dreyer received two yellows. Both players will be absent for Wednesday’s game, which you can stream on Paramount+.
The victor will advance to take on the winner of PSV Eindhoven vs. Galatasaray, with the Dutch side holding a 5-1 lead on aggregate entering the second leg. Midtjylland is the +130 money-line favorite (risk $100 to win $130) in the latest Midtjylland vs. Celtic odds at William Hill Sportsbook, while Celtic is the +175 underdog. A draw comes in at +210 and the over-under is 2.5 goals. Wednesday’s match will be streamed live on Paramount+ with their must-have Premium plan and kickoff is scheduled for 1:45 p.m. ET.

Champions League picks for Midtjylland vs. Celtic
Before you tune in to Wednesday’s Champions League qualifier, you need to see the Champions League picks from European soccer insider Martin Green. After working in the sports betting industry for several years, Green became a professional sports writer and handicapper and has covered the game worldwide. Since then, his European soccer picks have been spot-on. Green has generated nearly $19,000 for $100 bettors since the 2017-18 season, and he has his finger on the pulse of the game all over the globe.
For Midtjylland vs. Celtic, Green is backing Midtjylland to win at +130 odds. While Midtjylland can survive without Dreyer, Celtic may not be able to do the same without Britton, who is the anchor of the defense. He is a defensive midfielder, but he’s operated more like a makeshift defender due to a lack of alternatives for the Scottish club. With Britton suspended, Kristoffer Ajer and Shane Duffy with different clubs, and Christopher Jullien injured, Celtic’s defense looks nothing like the side that allowed the second-fewest goals in the Scottish Premiership last season.
“(Celtic} is in chaos right now,” Green told SportsLine. “It finished well behind Rangers in the Scottish Premiership last season, and (manager Ange) Postecoglu has inherited a real mess.”
Midtjylland has won two out of the last four league titles and three Superligas since 2015.
